MOTHER TERESA OTIENDE

This home is based in the largest slums in eastern Africa and among the largest slums in the world.  The residents are all girls and women (65 in total) with disabilities, mental or physical or both.  Some are merely required to use wheelchairs, while others are confined to beds, some are blind, and most are unable to speak intelligibly. Most were brought to the sisters as children, either by parents who couldn't care for them or by good Samaritans who rescued them from garbage dumps and other locations where they had been abandoned to die.

MOTHER TERESA MARSABIT & MARALAL

Home for orphaned, abandoned and disabled people. These two homes are run by the Missionaries of Charity. Due to the distances involved and the cost of transport for their requirements, we provide cash donations so that they can purchase some of their requirements.
